English....A phunny language??
It all began wen i was in 3rd standard and me and my whole family were goin on a picnic..We all were happy and then i said a sentence in english with 'Correct Grammer'.
Every1 was really shocked...
Y?
BAH! Basically i used to suck in english (Well i still suck in it but i m relatively better now)
Coz of english...i never participated in english plays, competitions, Essay writing etc etc...till ermm...well...12th standard..
But in 3rd year of my bachalor college...i found out that i cant run from this language...
The funny part is ppl try to judge u by the mean of how u speak...how many grammatical mistakes u do...etc etc...
Even this blog...i m sure...is full of grammatical errors :P
Recently i was criticised by my bro coz of my grammer, usage of words and basically...everything related to english (Well actually he criticise me all the time) and also...i got complements from 2-3 ppl bout how good my english really is...(Was actually too shocked to hear that)..
Frankly speaking my english hasnt improved a bit since i was in 12th...
The thing happened to me is well described in this quote by Einstein:
'Ship is always safe at the shore but thats not wat its built for'..
Since then i always try to use my english skills where ever i can...i know ppl will criticise me coz of that....but thats the only way i will improve...
And well...i better master it asap coz soon...the funny language will no longer be funny and will be a necessity in a near future.
