You're Just average

Ok first of all...This is not my article...
But its one of the best article I have ever read...
It belongs to my very good frnd Neo...........

Yes, you are just average. That is what most people think of you unless you're a topper. Not everyone can be a topper. Not everyone is interested in doing well in exams. There are far better things in life than just doing well in exams. I just hate it when a person's intelligence is measured by looking at the person's academic results. I also hate it when people compare their children to other children they know.

"He got 90%. Why did u get only 88%?"

I mean, what the hell, why are people never satisfied with the children they have. After all they are their own. Maybe they have something that the other children don't have. Comparing them to all the other children you know is not going to do them any good. Rather it would be better if you spend sometime learning what your children are interested in and also grooming them to become better people, because I believe that is the most important thing in life.

The other thing is: How can you measure a person's intelligence? Pardon me, but I don't really understand IQ tests. I also said I don't like it when a person is evaluated based on his academic results. Anyone can do well in a school or college exam to be honest. You just have to be a bookworm and do everything, and by this I don't mean that everyone who does well in exams is a bookworm. But I do know a lot of people who just do well in exams and have no other knowledge whatsoever. I feel the most important thing to see if you want to know how intelligent a person is, is to see how well the person can communicate. But its not all about communication. Its important to see the person's verbal as well as non-verbal cues as well. Sometimes, a person has many ideas in his mind which are really very good, but he can't put them forth because he lacks the communication skills to do so.

For all those people who have always felt that they are not as good as others only because they are not as good academically, just look within yourself and try to find out what you are really good at. Do the things that interest you the most and while you do that make sure your communication skills are top-notch. Even if you're not very highly skilled at something it wont really matter if your communication skills are good. But, if you're very highly skilled and you're communication skills are not good enough, trust me, it's going to be very difficult for you to get anywhere.

P.S : I did take an IQ test sometime back and the result I got was :
Congratulations! You have an IQ of 130.
Now, I have no idea how good (or how bad) 130 is. But, what I do know is that even if it's bad it won't bother me too much. I don't need an IQ test to tell me how intelligent I am.
